It has been a trying moment for the family of Nnalue Michael of Aguleri community, Ayamelum local government area of Anambra state following the alleged abduction on his way to Libya.

Chinedu Nnalue was allegedly kidnapped on his way to Libya with some of his friends, looking for greener pastures.

Narrating the ugly in an exclusive interview, the elder sister to the victim, Ngozi Nnalue stated that the family has been hit with trauma and fear since her brother’s abduction.

“On April 8, 2020, I was called by my cousin sister, that I should give her my mother’s number. I asked her if there is any problem but she told me that there was no problem; that her husband told her to ask my mother about something.

Chinedu Nnalue: Abducted in Libya

“However, I gave her my mother’s number and few minutes later, my mother called me and started telling me what my cousin said.

“My mum told me that my brother has been kidnapped in Libya on April 7,2020; that’s the day before.”

Narrating further, the victim’s sister said that ” when my father heard about the incident, he became troubled. Few days later, he became sick and subsequently died.”

Asked what he was doing before he went to Libya, Miss Nnalue said that he was working with foot wears company before the unfortunate incident.

On whether they have reported the incident to the police, the sister told our reporter that they didn’t report it to any security agents because the incident was said to have happened outside the legal jurisdiction of Nigeria.

“We didn’t report it to the police station because it didn’t happen in Nigeria. But, rather, we have gone to so many native doctors, spiritualists and soothsayers who kept on telling us that my brother is still alive.”

Explaining further, she said that “mother has been going to many prayer houses, seeking for the answer on the whereabouts of my brother, but they kept on telling her that my brother is still alive, despite the fact that our friends have been telling us that he is already dead. They have been telling us that he will come back to her in life not in death.”

Ngozi Nnalue: My bother is a gentle guy

When out reporter inquired from the sister if the alleged abductors have contacted them, demanding for ransom, she said that nobody has contacted them for ransom.

Asked if the victim has had any quarrel with anybody to warrant his kidnap, the sister told WITHIN NIGERIA that, “my brother is a gentleman. He doesn’t look for troubles. He was just kidnapped for no reasons at all.”

On whether she suspected any person for being responsible for the brother’s abduction, Miss Nnalue answered in the negative, stressing that she has no reason to suspect anybody.

Ngozi Nnalue therefore appealed to any person who knows the whereabouts of her brother to report same to the nearest police station or call her on 08060533733.
