Mr Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has been arrested in Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Fani-Kayode is said to be under investigation for alleged document forgery and manipulation.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the ex-minister, who joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in September, was brought to the anti-graft agency’s Lagos zonal office on Tuesday.
The allegations against him were vague, but the EFCC’s spokesman, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed Fani-arrest Kayode’s by its agents.
“I think something like that happened,” he said, declining to elaborate.
Fani-Kayode has been at odds with the EFCC for some time, and he was once imprisoned for 67 days in 2016.
He, on the other hand, denied the allegations and was later granted bail.
