On Friday, six states in the federation reported 41 new COVID-19 infections.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 17 new cases in Lagos, 10 in Plateau, and four in Bauchi, Kano, and Rivers.
On November 21, Niger State, which was added, recorded two new cases.
The NCDC reported in its daily update on Saturday that the 41 additional cases reported on Friday represented a decrease of 24 new infections from the 65 cases reported on Thursday.
It also stated that the country’s fatality toll remained at 2,975, as no new deaths were reported.
It went on to say that the most recent confirmed cases brought the country’s infection count to 213,924, but that only 3,833 were still active.
According to the NCDC, 207,114 victims have been successfully treated and discharged from hospitals.
Since its first COVID-19 case in February 2020, Nigeria has tested 3.4 million samples.
