TEXEM UK is a company based in the United Kingdom founded by British-Nigerian Dr Alim Abubakre that provides African and global leaders with services such as successful leadership strategies.

Its next project is to provide actionable insights to Nigerian business and political leaders on “turning organizational challenges into strategic opportunities for long-term success in volatile times.”

Caroline Lucas, TEXEM’s Director of Special Projects, stated on the company’s website on Sunday in Abuja that Nigeria is in a volatile period due to COVID-19, insecurity, and slow economic growth, among other things.

According to Lucas, TEXEM will use a participatory method during the program, which will take place between December 1 and December 2 at Wheatbaker in Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to the statement, Nigerians live in a world and at a time when organizations face numerous challenges that can be difficult to overcome.

“To navigate through the unpredictability, uncertainty, and ever-changing economic environment, more than just planning is required.”

“Identifying survival strategies and opportunities for long-term success is a core competency that every organization must cultivate.”

“While it works, this approach is frequently easier said than done,” the report said.

The statement, however, asserted that putting the approach into practice is critical, as there was a need to find the best practical solution available.

It goes on to say that organizational challenges are numerous, and strategies that work for one organization may not work for another.

When viewed critically, the impact of various challenges, including covariate ones, was not uniform, according to the statement.

It observes that, at the end of the day, each organization requires its own distinct strategic approach to dealing with the numerous challenges that it faces in these volatile times.

“Learning from successful organizations around the world, the secret that every leader or executive should know is how to turn challenges into opportunities in the face of a volatile socioeconomic and political environment.”

“Finding strategic opportunities entails being able to create a one-of-a-kind plan in advance of volatile future scenarios, being agile and responsive to the external environment, and making judicious use of scarce resources.”

“It implies knowing how to maximize one’s strengths while minimizing one’s weaknesses.”

“While there may be some risk involved,” the statement explained, “having a plan for turning challenges into strategic opportunities prepares you and your organization to achieve goals effectively and efficiently.”

It was stated that the TEXEM program, which is also open to virtual participants, is led by the world-renowned and accomplished Prof. Paul Griffith.

He is a Professor of Practice at Hult International Business School’s Ashridge Executive Education and the world’s first Management Professor to lead a team that launched a rocket into space.

Griffith stated on the upcoming program that “the operating context has never been as volatile and uncertain.”

“We are all working in a fast-paced environment marked by strict regulation, declining government revenue, and shifting government regulations.” But it will never be this slow again!

“Rather than simply surviving, this creates an excellent opportunity for thriving for organizations that apply the right thinking and best practices.”

“Leave the competition in the dust; build strong, profitable growth and organizational core competence using the tools and techniques we’ll share on this program,” he says.

Past participants also shared their thoughts on TEXEM’s programs.

“I’m doing a local program in Nigeria for the first time, and it’s actually quite interesting.”

“The diversity of the participants was the first thing that drew me in.”

“I also enjoyed our tense conversations with Christian and Alim.” “It’s quite thought-provoking,” said Effiong Okon, Seplat’s Operations Director.

“It’s a very insightful and good Leadership and Executive Management program.”

“It has opened my eyes to the fact that in order to be an effective leader, you must also be an effective follower.”

“I need to surround myself with people who are better than me and learn from them,” Lagos State Head of Service Akeem Muriokunola said.
