Exactly one week ago, there were 36,059 cases and according to the new data, 473 deaths were recorded in Germany within 24 hours.
A week ago, there were 399 deaths.
The RKI counted 6,562,429 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
However, the actual total number is likely to be much higher, as many infections are not detected.
