On Tuesday, an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court ruled that a 27-year-old man, Seun Fisayo, be kept in custody pending a bail application.
Fisayo was charged with theft by the police.
Magistrate Olusola Aluko, who denied bail to the defendant, asked Defence Counsel M.A. Adeyemi to file a written bail application for consideration.
As a result, Aluko remanded the defendant in the Ile-Ife Nigerian Correctional Centre.
The magistrate adjourned the case until January 27 for further consideration.
