China contributes TCM-based treatment protocols to the worldwide fight against COVID-19

As part of its contributions to the global COVID-19 fight, China has introduced treatment protocols based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to more than 150 countries and regions.

The National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine made the announcement on Thursday.

According to the administration, the country has also provided TCM products to more than ten countries and regions, as well as dispatched TCM professionals to assist with the local COVID-19 fight in 28 countries and regions.

According to the administration, TCM has been widely used in treating COVID-19 patients in China, and has played an important role in easing patients’ symptoms.

The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-caused pandemic has spread across the globe, posing a significant threat to public health and safety.

TCM, in conjunction with Western medicine (WM), has made significant and long-lasting contributions to the fight against COVID-19.

The public recognized TCM’s significant contributions to COVID-19, and it now serves as an evidence-based in-depth summary and analysis to help people understand TCM’s true scientific value.
