The Public Complainant Commission (PCC) had sought to collaborate with the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Kaduna Directorate, in creating awareness on the activities of the commission.
Sulaiman Ibrahim, the NOA Public Relations Officer in the state, disclosed this in a signed statement on Thursday in Kaduna.
PCC Commissioner in Kaduna State, Alhaji Abdullahi Garba, said while on a courtesy visit to NOA office, that the agency had the capacity to enlighten people to do the right thing.
“Given the capacity and spread of NOA in all the Local Government Areas, the PCC is assured that the agency is well positioned to shine the spotlight on the activities and scope of the commission.
“It is my belief that the collaboration between NOA and PCC will make the people aware of the services provided by the commission to resolve conflicts and have their queries answered,’’ he said.
Garba explained that the commission adjudicates on matters related to administrative injustice, complaints on any public or private institution and conflict between groups of people.
In his remark, Zubair Galadima-Soba, the State Director of NOA, said that the collaboration should have been in existence long before now, as the agency has been doing what the ombudsman had requested.
He stated that although NOA currently has budgetary challenges, it will work with the PCC to enlighten the public to patronise the commission when seeking redress over administrative injustices.
The NOA director urged Nigerians to embrace the core values of humanity, so as to help mitigate all the social vices bedevilling the society.
