PDP congratulates Bukola Saraki at 59

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki on his 59th birthday.

The party described him as a true statesman and staunch supporter of Nigeria’s constitutional democracy.

The party described Saraki as a humble, forthright, and courageous leader in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba.

“Saraki is an outstanding administrator and exemplary legislator who continues to make sacrifices for the unity, stability, and development of our beloved nation.”

“As a medical doctor, two-term governor of Kwara State, and later President of the Senate, Sen. Saraki distinguished himself with outstanding patriotism in the service of our fatherland and humanity at large.”

“As Senate President, he fought and made personal sacrifices for our nation’s constitutional democracy’s survival and sustenance,” Ologunagba said.

He stated that Nigerians have remembered Saraki’s leadership of the 8th Senate in reinforcing the legislature’s independence and adherence to the rule of law.

Ologunagba went on to say that Saraki, as Senate President, insisted on transparency and accountability in government for the sake of the people.

He stated that the PDP was proud of Saraki’s dedication as Director-General of the party’s 2019 Presidential Campaign, as well as his sacrifices in keeping the party together as Chairman of the PDP National Reconciliation and Strategy Committee.

Ologunagba stated that despite the daunting challenges, such as threats and harassments, Saraki had remained unwavering in his commitment as a party member and patriotic Nigerian, particularly in the collective effort to rescue and rebuild our dear nation.

He congratulated Saraki and prayed to God to grant him many more years of good health so that Nigeria and humanity could benefit from his patriotism, wealth of experience, and exceptional goodwill.
