The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Sango-Ota Chapter, has appealed to its members to shun any act capable of disturbing peace, especially during the yuletide.
The General Secretary, Alhaji Lateef Deinde, made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ota, Ogun.
Deinde also implored them to exercise patience during the yuletide so that the society, and the entire country, could experience total peace.
He, however, warned the public to desist from boarding vehicles at unauthorised places, especially during the festive period to avoid being victims of ritual killers and kidnappers.
“We are appealing to the public to enter vehicles at accredited parks and garages to fill all necessary papers while travelling.
“In addition, we all should refrain from any act that could jeopardise the peace of the country,” he said.
