The Kada Emeralds female volleyball team of Kaduna won their final match of the 2018 Nigeria Volleyball League on Monday, defeating the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Babes 3-0.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Kada Emeralds Babes won the first set 25-9 and the second set 25-18.
The Police Babes fought valiantly in the third set but were defeated 25-13.
After the game, Kada Emeralds Head Coach Vincent Unogwu stated that it was the first time the team “played to instruction.”
“This resulted in a positive outcome. I believe they will be more focused and determined by the next season.
“I am impressed that we have kept the male team together for three years and the girls together for two years; it is a plus.”
“We will reload and review all of our matches before resuming with a push up for next season,” Unogwu said.
Kano Pillars defeated Nigeria Customs 3-2 in the male category, while Nigeria Police Force fell to NSCDC 3-0.
Sunshine Spikers were defeated 3-0 by the Nigeria Immigration Service.
According to NAN, the competition, which began on December 11 at the Indoor Hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, will conclude on Tuesday, December 21.
The league featured 17 teams in total.
