Rep. Yusuf Gagdi (APC-Plateau), has donated nine vehicles and 10 motorcycles to officials of his party and other loyalists in Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau.
Gagdi, represents Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam Federal constituency of the state.
The lawmaker, who spoke at the event on Tuesday at Dengi in Kanam, said that the gesture would spur the beneficiaries to continue with the good works they have been doing toward the growth of the party.
He explained that the vehicles include five Volkwagen sharon, three peugoet 406 and one Toyota Camry.
The lawmaker said that the gesture is not a constituency project, but his personal support to party officials and other loyalists in the locality.
He promised to extend similar gestures to the party and loyalists in the remaining two local government areas in his constituency.
Chairman of APC in the state, Rufus Bature, who presented the items to the beneficiaries, thanked Gagdi for the gesture.
He said that the party is proud of the lawmaker, adding that his developmental strides have eased its campaign for 2023 in the constituency and the state in general.
“APC in Plateau is proud of you and we are grateful for the good works you have been doing in this constituency.”
“We are satisfied with your track records; you have done a larger part of the 2023 campaign for us.”
“What you are doing is what we call representation personified; we are happy with you” he said
The chairman advised the beneficiaries to put the vehicles and motorcycles given to them to good use and for the progress of the party.
He promised that the party would continue to support Gagdi to succeed, and urged other lawmakers to emulate the donor.
