The President, Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association (YYSA), Mr Olalekan Hammed, has urged State and Federal Governments to take decisive action against internet fraudsters, and rituals killers.
Hammed disclosed this in a statement released on Sunday in Lagos.
He stated that the governments should take measures to fight against drug abuse among youths in the country.
According to him, the rate at which negative behaviours cause moral degradation in the nation is unimaginable and if not checked, societal value will be eroded in the nearest future.
He advised parents, guardians, teachers, community and religious leader to reawaken and sharpen the moral of Nigerians, most especially the youths.
“The Federal, state and local governments can collaborate and establish centres that will deal with drug abuse and ritual killing in all wards of the 774 local government areas in the country.
“The main function of the centres will be intelligence gathering and any suspicious person caught will be dealt with in accordance with the existing laws and later rehabilitated,” he said.
Hammed further said that any parent supporting a child involved in internet fraud and ritual killing should also be punished, to serve as a deterrent to others and go a long way to curb the menace.
The youth leader called on all promoters of culture to prioritse moral aspect of culture because of its usefulness in stability of the society.
