The latest report has revealed that Chelsea’s manager Thomas Tuchel has tested positive for COVID-19.
This was confirmed by the Blues barely an hour before their Saturday’s FA Cup fourth-round match with Plymouth Argyle at Stamford Bridge.
The report revealed that the German international, who is currently self-isolating, will not fly out with the Chelsea squad for the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi next week, although it is hoped he will be able to join them at a later date.
The rest of Chelsea’s travelling group are due to depart for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after the Plymouth game.
European champions Chelsea face a semi-final on Wednesday against either AFC Champions League holders Al Hilal or 2020/2021 UAE Pro League winners Al Jazira.
