The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba has inaugurated the state officials of the party following an earlier inauguration of the state Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim El-Sudi by the national secretariat in Abuja.
Addressing officials and party members on Sunday in Jalingo, El-Sudi said that the officials had enormous tasks to perform, adding that there was no time for further delay as the general election was fast approaching.
“After my inauguration in Abuja, I was directed to come and inaugurate you. We have a lot of work ahead of us and all hands must be on deck.”
“I want to use this opportunity to urge all members of the party to let go of our differences and unite to work for the success of the party in Taraba”
“It is when we take over the government that all of us will benefit, it makes no sense if we fight and end up losing everything.”
‘’We have so much to gain by working together for victory which has been handed over to us already by PDP’s gross failure in the state.”
“Let us understand that our struggle is ideological, our people have suffered so much, let us put our differences aside and work for the party,” El-Sudi said.
One of the leaders of the party in the state, Chief David Kente introduced a new member of the party, Mr. Saleh Pintim, who had recently resigned his appointment as Special Adviser to the Taraba state Governor Darius Ishaku.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mr. Benjamin Bako, the National President of the Jukun Development Association also attended the inauguration ceremony.
