24-year-old charged with trafficking in cocaine, molly, methamphetamine

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has charged a 24-year-old man, Amada Baba, with drug trafficking, before a Federal High Court in Lagos.

Baba is charged on four count in suit number  FHC/L/112c/2022.

According to NDLEA counsel, Mr Jeremiah Aernan, Baba committed the offence on Jan. 23 in Lagos State.

Aernan alleged that Baba trafficked in 1.8kg of cannabis, two grammes of molly, five grammes of methamphetamine and a pinch of cocaine.

According to the NDLEA, all the hard drugs are listed in its schedule as prohibited.

The alleged offence contravenes the provisions for Section 11(c) of the NDLEA Act of  2004.

No date has been fixed for arraignment of Baba.
