A security guard, Kachalla Rawa, who allegedly stole publishing materials worth six million Naira from his employer, on Wednesday appeared before a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State.
The defendant who resides at Idi-Araba, Mushin, Lagos State, was arraigned on a three-count charge of conspiracy, breaking-in and stealing.
However, appearing before the Magistrate, Mr Sadiq Bello, Rawa pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Insp Courage Ekhueorohan, had told the court that the defendant committed the offences with some others still at large, on Feb. 20.
Ekhueorohan alleged that Rawa, a guard at a warehouse at Plot 391/393 on Apapa/Oshodi Expressway, Ilasamaja Itire, Lagos, stole papers and other publishing materials.

The court granted Rawa bail in the sum of three million Naira with two sureties in like sum, and adjourned the case until March 17 for substantive trial.
