Mr Monsuru Akinloye, Chairman, Eredo Local Council Development Area, in Epe Division, has upgraded 56 roads to ease gridlock within the council.
Akinloye told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview in Eredo-Epe, on Wednesday that his intervention was to put the roads in better condition for use by commuters, commercial/private vehicles and residents.
According to him, the roads were in terrible condition, hence, the need to put them in order.
“I am a listening leader; I listen and act to my people’s demands because they are the ones that voted me into power.
“What I am doing is looking back and giving back to the community that entrusts their mandate to me,” he said.
Akinloye urged residents to go and get their Personal Voters Cards (PVC) ahead of the forthcoming election.
“There are no polling units on the social media, therefore, get your PVC to cast your vote wisely,” he said.
