Katsina State government has declared Monday, April 11, 2022, as a work-free day to enable workers and their families to vote in the local government elections scheduled for that day. Alhaji Usman Isyaku, Permanent Secretary Administration, Office of the Head of Civil Service, made the declaration in a statement he issued in Katsina on Friday.
He urged workers to seize the opportunity to peacefully exercise their franchise by voting for candidates of their choice.
The state’s Independent Electoral Commission fixed April, 11 as the date for elections across the 34 local councils in the state.
