The PDP National Chairman, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu, has condoled with the former Senate President, Sen. Adolphus Wabara, over the death of his wife, Elder Felicia Wabara.
Mrs Wabara passed away in the early hours of Sunday, during a protracted illness at the age of 69.
Ayu in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Communications and Strategy, Mr Simon Imobo-Tswam, said although the matriarch of the Wabara family was no more, her good deeds will outlive her.
Ayu described the deceased as a detribalised and cosmopolitan woman who, though a native of Ogwa in Esan West LGA in Edo, crossed cultural boundaries to marry the former senate president, a native of Ukwa East LGA in Abia.
He also described the deceased as a dedicated Christian, philanthropist, community leader and mother of all.
“She was a blessed woman who, in turn, made herself a channel of blessings for others – be it in the Church or in the larger community.
“I stand with you and mourn with you in this your hour of grief.
“But I urge you and the immediate family to take consolation in the fact that your dear wife lived a rich, eventful and fulfilled life.”
Ayu prayed God to grant her eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
