The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed 858 regular and special marshals to ensure a hitch-free 2022 Easter celebrations in Bauchi State.
Mr Yusuf Abdullahi, the Sector Commander made the disclosure in an interview with our correspondent on Wednesday in Bauchi.
He said the corps also deployed six ambulances and one heavy duty tow truck to enhance emergency response services.
“As a normal special patrol, all equipment, personnel and logistics would be put in place and we have emergency ambulance services along Bauchi-Toro road, which are going to be stationed on standby.
“Operations would be extended, we’ll continue in the following morning on standby operations and emergency services for 24 hours.
“Two trucks would be positioned in Potiskum and they will cover that area, Jos, the capital of Plateau and Bauchi which is corridor seven in FRSC terms,” he said.
According to him, the Corps is working in collaboration with sister security agencies to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration.
Abdullahi further said that aggressive enlightenment, effective utilisation of the media, local associations, community and religious leaders remained major crusade during and after the celebration.
He urged road users to be conscious of traffic rules and regulations during and after the celebrations across the state.
