The Enugu State 2022 Federation Cup competition has been scheduled to begin on May 3 with 16 teams slated to battle it out in the first stanza.
According to the fixtures signed by the Enugu State Football Association Secretary, Francis Ugwu, and made available to newsmen in Enugu on Wednesday, the teams will feature in the first stage of the competition.
After the first round of matches, eight teams are expected to advance into round two and the winners would proceed to the third round.
The final two teams would join the National League clubs in the second stage, slated for between May 17 and May 18.
“This time around, the winners of the second stage would join Rangers International FC for the finals on a date yet to be fixed,” the statement added.
The fixtures showed that two matches would take place each day at the Rangers training pitch located inside the Liberty Estate.
Reports have it that the Federation Cup is operated in a knockout format.
