Corps Commander Felix Theman has been posted to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Gombe State Command, as the new Sector Commander.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Janet Kassa, made the disclosure in a statement in Gombe on Saturday.
Kassa said that the new sector commander assumed office on Friday and addressed staff in a brief ceremony.
According to Kassa, Theman said he would build on the legacy of his predecessor, Mr. Ishaku Ibrahim, and sustain cordial relationships.
Kassa said that Theman advised staff to desist from acts inimical to the corporate image of FRSC.
She noted that Theman had served in various capacities before his new appointment.
“He was the Head of Appointments and Promotions, Office of the Corps Secretary, National Headquarters; Deputy Corps Commander in charge of Operations, Edo Sector Command; Deputy Corps Commander (Discipline) in Administration and Human Resource Department, National Headquarters.”
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Theman is a Fellow of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre and a recipient of the Road Safety Service Star.
He hails from Adamawa.
His predecessor, Ibrahim, was redeployed to the Special Duties and External Relations Department, FRSC National Headquarters, Abuja.
