Sen. Francis Alimikhena, (APC-Edo) has said that choice rather than chance will determine Edo North’s destiny.
This is contained in a statement from the Francis Alimikhena campaign organisation on Tuesday in Benin,
According to the campaign organisation, Alimikhena stated this after submiting his senatorial nomination and expression of interest forms at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Abuja.
He also said that he had exceeded the expectations of his people in terms of performance and effective representation.
The senator promised to go the extra mile in providing more jobs for Edo North youths and engaging idle hands in the district.
According to him, the development and growth of Edo North cannot rise above the calibre of representatives sent to the Senate.
“We need a unifier who can unify all Edo North People.
“Edo North development will be determined by our collective choice and not by chance.
“My people are proud of my performance and they are fully standing with me.”
Alimikhena further said he would do everything possible to consolidate on his previous achievements by building more infrastructures, providing effective representation and massive empowerment that had already become a daily affair across the senatorial district.
He added that he was the only person that could deliver the APC in the general election due to his already established records of accomplishments.
“The forthcoming election is about competence and capacity to deliver the dividends of democracy.
“Edo North senatorial race is a cause which supersedes ethnicity and a cause that forges brotherhood and sisterhood in a unifying manner that connects people rather than dividing them.
“As a ranking senator I am the most qualified to represent Edo North at the National Assembly.
“No other aspirant has the depth of my knowledge and experience in the legislative business.
“In legislating, the more you are returned the more benefit you can attract to your people,” he added.
