A sociopolitical group, Omituntun Initiative In the Diaspora (OID) has lauded Gov. Seyi Makinde-led’s administration in Oyo State, for the massive developmental projects executed across the state in three years.
The group, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Ayotimiwa Adebayo, and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Ibadan, described Makinde as “an advocate of good governance, true federalism, and restructuring in Nigeria”.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that OID is a leading sociopolitical group supporting the Makinde-led administration in the state.
It described Makinde “as the voice for the voiceless and beacon of hope for the people following his remarkable developmental projects.”
According to it, Makinde has executed people-oriented projects in the state and implemented policies that had transformed the state in many ways.
“Oyo State has witnessed a massive transformation in the past three years across all sectors, especially health, education, security, improved economy, and agriculture.
“We are proud to have a visionary leader as the governor who cares and loves the citizens. He would continue to implement sustainable development projects in every part of the state,” the group said.
It said that in spite of its spread across the globe, the group had paid keen attention to the massive ongoing developmental projects in the state.
The group expressed optimism that the state would continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy as time progresses.
