Deputy Chief Imam of Kafanchan Central Mosque in Kaduna State, Ibrahim Musa, has urged Muslims in Nigeria to use the Eid-el-Kabir period to pray for peace and God’s guidance for leaders.
Musa made the call on Saturday while speaking with newsmen shortly after the Eid prayers.
Musa said the occasion offers an opportunity to seek divine intervention on the issue of banditry and kidnapping that had become widespread in the country.
The cleric prayed God to grant the country’s leaders the wisdom to overcome the current security challenges.
The Emir of Jema’a, Muhammadu Muhammadu, in his Sallah message, enjoined Muslims to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice and love for one another as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Muhammadu urged the faithful to thank Allah for sparing their lives to witness yet another Sallah celebration.
He also called on them to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise to get their permanent voters card to enable them to elect credible leaders in 2023.
