Eid-el-Kabir: Lagos lawmaker urges Muslims to pray for peace, unity

Mr Gholahan Yishawu (Eti-Osa -II) state constituency of Lagos State has urged  Muslims  to continue to pray for peace and unity as laid down for their guidance by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Yishawu  made the call in a message to commemorate the Eid-el-Kabir festival in Lagos on Friday.
Yishawu, Chairman, House Committee on Budget and Appropriation, appealed to Nigerians, especially residents of Lagos state  to reflect on the significance of Eid-el-Kabir as they celebrated the 2022 festival.
“I congratulate residents of my constituency, especially the people of Lagos state  on the occasion; I pray Allah in his beneficence will be merciful and compassionate toward them and their loved ones.
“I want to encourage all Muslim faithful to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to pray for the peace, security and prosperity of the country,” he said.
The lawmaker also urged Muslims to pray for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun  and the general elections in 2023.
