Imo Speaker urges Nigerians to imbibe spirit of sacrifice, love on EId-el Kabir celebration

Imo Speaker urges The Speaker, Imo House of Assembly, Mr Kennedy Ibeh has called on Muslin faithful  and Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of Love and sacrifice as the hallmark of Eld-el-Kabir celebration.

Ibeh made the call on  Saturday, in his 2022  Eld-el-Kabir massage to Muslim faithful in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Mr Ifeanyi Onyekachi, made available to newsmen

The speaker noted that the spirit of the season was an invitation by Muslims in particular and  Nigerians of all religions, to show selfless sacrifice exemplified in giving and show of love for one another.

He said Nigerians must thank God who, in  His mercies, has brought us to this year’s celebration, irrespective of religions.

“We are all human beings and worship only one God, I therefore wish to call on our  Muslim brothers living in Obowo my constituency, Imo and Nigeria,  to continue to imbibe the spirit of love, peace and kindness to one another.

Ibeh also  condemned  the spate of insecurity in the country and called for all hands to be on deck to ensure the safety of lives and properties.

He noted that security should not be left in the hands of security agencies  alone, stating that it was everybody’s business.

He assured that Imo House of Assembly would not relent in its effort in partnering with  the executive and other relevant stakeholders in making laws to promote peace, unity and progress in the state.

The speaker enjoined Muslims in the state and all Imo citizens to support Gov. Hope Uzodimma, who had worked hard to restore peace in Imo and scored very high points in the pursuit of the 3-R agenda of his administration.

While wishing the Muslim faithful happy peaceful and successful  celebration, he urged Imo citizens to stay out of trouble.
