Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong has commended the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Sen. Abduallahi Adamu for his agricultural initiatives.
Lalong made the commendation in a statement to felicitate Adamu on his 76th birthday on Saturday in Jos .
The statement was conveyed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Macham.
” Sen. Adamu has also done a lot to boost the nation’s agriculture by engaging in farming and also contributing in the passage of various legislations.
“These have boosted food production in the country during his term at the National Assembly where he headed the Senate Committee on Agriculture,” he said .
He described Adamu as a patriotic Nigerian who used his vast experience in politics and governance, to contribute immensely to the development of the nation.
“Sen. Adamu is one of Nigeria’s finest politicians, who has deployed his experience, capacity and vast knowledge in building democratic institutions.
“His long political career has been very valuable in the democratic journey of the nation, as he played various roles at the local, state and national levels effectively,” he said.
He commended the APC Chairman for mentoring the younger generation to empower them, for the task of national service and dedication to national ideals.
Lalong noted that the national chairman had brought stability to APC since taking the mantle of leadership of the party, saying that he fostered understanding and efforts on reconciliation.
He said the gesture was repositioning the party for effective service to Nigerians, especially ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He urged Adamu to continue to serve the nation, while wishing him many more years of good health, God’s blessings and divine protection.
