Mr Busayo Kadejo, the newly-redeployed Comptroller to the Niger and Kogi Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, has warned that his leadership would not accept absenteeism, disrespect and violation of human rights.
Kadejo, who gave the warning at a brief ceremony in Minna on Thursday, also reiterated his preparedness to prevent any form of smuggling business in the area command.
Reports have it that the Nigeria Customs Service redeployed Kadejo to take over from Comptroller Abubakar Adamu, who has been transferred to Bauchi Area Command.
The new comptroller said that officers and men of the command should brace up to their responsibilities in the discharge of their duties and be committed.
He appealed to residents of the state to complement the efforts of the command by coming forward with reliable information that would aid in apprehending smugglers.
Adamu thanked the management, officers and men of the area for their support and cooperation during his stay in the command.
The outgoing comptroller urged officers and men to extend the same cooperation accorded him to the new helmsman of the area command.
