Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen Farouk Yahaya, has vowed that the Nigerian Army will continue to deal ruthlessly with criminals in the languages of brutality which they understand better.
Yahaya gave the vow on Saturday at the annual Exercise Camp Highland and battle inoculation of the 69 Regular Course cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna.
He explained that treating criminals with the languages they understood was sending them to God to account for their sins.
He charged the cadets to remain committed and dedicated to effective service delivery to their fatherland after their commissioning as officers.
Yahaya also charged them to deploy their skills and the competencies they acquired at the NDA to the various theatres of operations after their graduation.
He challenged the cadets to justify the huge investment made on them by the country by complementing efforts aimed at ridding Nigeria of criminals and criminality.
He assured that the Nigerian Army would continue to sustain training and re-training across all formations in response to the dynamic nature of warfare.
Earlier, Commandant of the NDA, Maj.-Gen. Ibrahim Yusuf, highlighted the different phases of the exercise.
The annual battle inoculation is held to expose army cadets to real life war situations.
