Three men, Abiodun Rafiu, Alaska Oladipo and Umar Jemilu, on Tuesday appeared before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, for alleged theft of an excavator worth for four million Naira.
Rafiu, 38, Oladipo, 36, and Jemilu, 45, were charged with conspiracy and stealing.
They, however, pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Insp Adegeshin Famuyiwa, told the court that the defendants conspired to steal the machine belonging Larale Ultimate Ltd.
He said that the defendants committed the offences at 8.30 a.m. on Aug. 15 on Alhaji Oseni Street, Igbogbo, Ikorodu.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate O. A. Ogbe admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N50,000 each, with a surety each in like sum.
Ogbe adjourned the case until Sept.19 for mention.
