The Director-General of Kaduna State Bureau of Interfaith Matters, Tahir Umar, says the Bureau will continue to work towards creating an atmosphere where different faith will understand each other.
The DG said this when he received a delegation under two organisations, Community and Youth Development (CYD), and Coalition of Islamic Organisations covering 105 different organisations, on a courtesy visit on Tuesday in kaduna
He said the interfaith would continue to work to ensure that there was peace and harmony in the state
He called on the groups for continued cooperation for the promotion of the good governance in the state.
He said government was making more efforts geared towards enhancing the unity of both Christian and Muslim relationship in the state.
Umar also thanked the group for the visit and prayers, adding that they had enjoyed cordial relationships over the years .
Earlier, leader of the delegation Shamwilu Nasir, said the aim of the visit was to congratulate the newly-appointed Director General and to also express their total support.
He prayed for Allah’s guidance to the DG in the discharge of his duties and for harmony and peaceful coexistence across the state and Nigeria.
