The Hydro-electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC) has organised a five-day training on Skills Development and Organisational Productivity for its members of staff.
Declaring the training open on Monday in Jos, Abubakar Sadiq, the Managing Director of the commission, said that the exercise aimed at equipping the staff with the requisite knowledge for effective productivity.
Sadiq, who was represented by Emmanuel Bimtet, the Director of Personnel, Research, and Statistics of the commission, explained that the exercise would strengthen the capacity of the personnel toward optimal performance in the organisation.
He explained that the exercise was organised in conjunction with Mamudawa Investments Ltd. and Meridian Consult.
He added that the training would recalibrate the knowledge and improve their propensities for productivity in their various areas of responsibility within the organisation.
”This training is timely because as a baby organisation, we need to equip our staff with the requisite knowledge and build their capacities toward optimal performance.
”This training will centre largely on communication and writing skills, information management, office assistance, and work ethics and values. We expect that at the end of the exercise, the participants should be able to carry out their work effectively and efficiently,” he said.
Sadiq admonished the participants to be attentive during the training and urged them to ensure lessons learned are applied.
