A cleric, Rev. Tajan Moltok on Sunday in Jos cautioned Christians against rewarding evil with evil.
Moltok, the Jos Resident Pastor of Shepherd House Assembly International, made the call in his sermon series entitled: “The Power of Honour’’.
He said when offended, Christians should commit it to God, who handles the situation as He deems would fit.
He stressed that the faithful should always respect leadership and honouring those in authority to pave way for more opportunities for them.
“Leadership has a way of lifting you. Leaders will always recommend you for blessings, except they are wicked or fetish,’’ he said.
Moltok said that people who disregarded those who paved way for them would not go far in life, adding: “even if you honour God, do not despise people.’’
He said honour brings promotion and preservation, urging Christians to be patient while waiting for God as the journey of life would not always be palatable.
“Be patient; do not join cults or assassins to make money. God’s blessings are not only material things,’’ he admonished.
