Nasarawa Assembly condoles with Minority Leader over father’s demise

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly on Monday condoled with Mr Abel Bala, the Minority Leader, over the death of his father, Mr Bala Kuje.

The Assembly Speaker, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, led other members of the House on the visit at Bala’s hometown, Mada Station, Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.

He advised Bala, representing Nassarawa Eggon West Constituency at the legislature, and other family members to see their father’s death as an act of God.

He also advised Nigerians to live exemplary lives as death can call at any time.

“On behalf of myself, Principal Officers and staff of the Assembly, we sympathise with Bala and the entire family over the death of their father, Pa Bala Kuje.

“There is time to be born and time to die. We don’t have the power to ask God why he has taken his life.

“Death is inevitable, so let’s see Baba’s death as an act of God.

“We pray God to forgive his short comings and grant him
eternal rest,” he said.

Responding, Bala appreciated the speaker, his colleagues and members of staff for identifying with him at his trying moment and prayed God to bless them abundantly.

“On behalf of my family, I wish to appreciate you, and all other colleagues for condoling with me and the entire family over our father’s death.

“We are greatly honoured by your visit. I believe that you have postponed today’s sitting to come here and condole with us, we appreciate you, Sir.

“I am short of words, this visit shows our cordial relationship and your good leadership in the House,” he said.

Bala also prayed God to grant them safe journey to their various destinations.

Our correspondent reports that late Kuje died on Oct. 18, with his burial scheduled for Nov. 5 at his country home.
