ALMPO re-elects Alabraba as chairman

The Association of Licensed Mobile Payment Operators (ALMPO) has re-elected Mr Jay Alabraba as its chairman.

Alabraba was re-elected at the association’s 2022 Annual General Meeting held virtually and attended by members and Trustees in Lagos.

He appreciated the contributions of members to the overall growth of the association in the past years.

Alabraba, Co-Founder of PagaTech, would run the affairs of the association for another two years, 2022 to 2024.

He also pledged his team’s continued commitment to delivering on the vision they had set for the association.

Chidi Dire of Parkway Projects was also returned as Treasurer alongside two elected new members – Isa Aliyushata of Konga Pay (Vice Chairman) and Adenike Nubi of Stanbic IBTC Bank (Financial Secretary).

The new executive members also pledged their commitment to expand membership participation of the association and to continue the working relationship with the Central Bank of Nigeria and other regulatory bodies, as well as the private sector, to move the payments industry forward.

ALMPO is an umbrella body comprised of mobile payment operators licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to drive delivery of efficient payment systems and increase financial inclusion in Nigeria.
