Ex-SSA to governor mobilises supporters for PDP guber candidate in Enugu

Dr. Eric Odo, the former Chairman, Nigeria Construction and Furniture Company (NCFC) Board, Enugu, has mobilised thousands of supporters for Mr. Peter Mba.

Mba is the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Enugu state.

Odo, who is also a former Special Adviser to the Governor on District Hospital, stated this at his Ukehe residence, near Enugu on Sunday.

The medical practitioner explained that the thousands of supporters were from major opposition parties in the area.

The opposition parties include the All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour party and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

According to him, the supporters under his leadership, came together to show total support for the Governorship candidate of Mba.

He also said that the essence of coming together was because of Mba’s rich understanding of where Enugu ought to be.

This is in terms of developments and technological advancement encapsulated in his manifesto.

Odo also said that these group of opposition members felt that supporting this kind of candidate was the only way to realise good governance anchored on rapid industrialisation and job creation for the people of Enugu state.

The Deputy Governorship candidate of the party, Mr Ifeanyi Ossai, in his remarks, lauded Odo for the gesture.

Ossai, while addressing the crowd, who was represented by Mr Innocent Ezeoha, the PDP Deputy chairman in Enugu state, expressed happiness at the huge turnout of supporters, saying the gathering looked like a zonal rally.

He also assured the supporters of betters days ahead when Mba emerges as the Governor of Enugu State come 2023.

The Executive Chairman of Igbo Etiti Local Government Area, Mr Ikenna Nwodo commended the organizers of the programme for their initiative.
