Two security men, Bashiru Sani, 32 and Sani Mohammed, 40, have appeared before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos over alleged conspiracy and theft of a gasoline generator.
They are standing trial before Magistrate L.J.K Layeni on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing
However, they pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Dr Simon Uche, the prosecutor, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Nov. 2 at the Abule Ado area of Lagos.
According to him, the defendants allegedly conspired to steal a Stenwei Gasoline Generator valued N280,000, while working as gatemen to the complainant, Kingsley Mba,
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
The Judge admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N100,000 each with one surety each in like sum.
The case adjourned until Dec. 14 for trial.
