Curvy screen diva, Halima Abubakar, has thrown support for those going through hard times in her latest post on social media.
The beautiful role interpreter, on Wednesday morning, March 31, 2021, shared an image of how the society can help to prevent suicide. She added a note urging against suicide, saying suicide is not the answer.
She said she is aware it is hard for people nursing suicidal thoughts to open up about whatever they are going through while clarifying that talking about it is a starting point to finding a solution to their challenges.
Advising the society at large, Halima Abubakar’s post stipulates the need to accept suicide as real illness instead of dismissing it as sadness or just a phase.
She also pointed out the importance of checking on loved ones and not expecting those with suicidal thoughts to reach out first.
The actress warned against bullying, whether in real life or online, because depression can be invisible and it is important to know.
Halima Abubakar’s post is coming barely a day after she counseled her followers against calling people ‘old’. She said it is insulting to do so because it is a privilege from God to live long in life.
