Veteran actress Lois de Banzie has died.
The actress, best known for playing First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt in the 1982 film, Annie, died aged 90.
Her passing was announced this week in the San Francisco Chronicle by her family.
The Scottish-born star died on April 3rd in California and no cause of death was given.
As well as her role in Annie, de Banzie starred in films such as Sister Act, Tootsie, Sudden Impact, and Addams Family Values.
She also starred in 80’s classics Cheers and Who’s the Boss?
Her family wrote on her obituary: “Lois was proud to have made a career as an actress on stage, screen, and television.
“Among her diverse screen roles were performances in Annie, Dunston Checks In, and Sudden Impact.
“Her wit and humor will be much missed.”
Tributes have been pouring in online following the news of her passing.
