Lance Bass, an American singer/dancer, and his husband Michael Turchin have announced they are expecting twins via surrogate.
The couple, who have been married since 2014, confirmed in a Q&A with People that they are expecting twins, a boy and a girl via surrogacy later this year.
The announcement comes Bass, 42, teased the news in a hilarious/horror movie trailer posted on TikTok, in which the NSYNC alum and his husband haunted by the presence of two shadowy children.

Bass told the outlet they opted for the horror-themed teaser since the twins are due in early November, right around Halloween.
“I need them to get here before Halloween, because I need them to be Halloween babies,” he joked. “They have no choice but to love Halloween because I’m obsessed and they’re going to be obsessed.”
The former ‘N Sync singer and his husband are expecting a boy and a girl, due November 2021.
The pregnancy was a long time coming for the couple, who were expecting twins last year with a surrogate who unfortunately miscarried.
‘Because of what we’ve been through the last four years, we were very cautious to get excited,’ Lance told People of learning about the pregnancy. ‘And it kind of sucks because when you find out you’re pregnant, you want to celebrate with your family.
‘You start planning their future in your head already, but we were so scared because we didn’t want to go through the pain again of losing them. We told our friends and family about the ninth week, when we finally felt comfortable. You think you’re going to jinx it or something.’
Lance also described their initial difficulties with IVF and surrogacy.
‘When we went into IVF and surrogacy, we had no idea what it was all about. Pretty much everyone we’ve known had bad luck at the beginning. The first time they tried it, it just did not work,’ he said.
‘And I feel like that is such a common thing. And it’s great that we’re able to talk about this because a lot of times I would believe that couples feel very alone in that situation. But to know that other people are going through the same exact thing, it’s really comforting.’
‘When you fast forward and be like, ‘Oh, what’s the wedding going to be like? Oh, if they’re going to have kids, I’m going to be a grandparent?’ Like you just automatically just put this in your head. And it’s very disappointing when that dream gets popped,’ Lance said.
‘We were just at a restaurant a couple months after the miscarriage and a friend of ours, [actor] Tayor Frey, who we hadn’t seen in a long time, happened to walk by the street, Michael recalled. ‘His agency introduced us to this one surrogate and she ended up being a great match. And the same with the egg donor.’
Lance and Michael tied the knot at the Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles in 2014 following a year-long engagement and a total of three years together.
