Media mogul, Ayo Animashaun, has disclosed that Olamide didn’t vote for Lil Kesh to win the 2015 ‘Next Rated Act’, a category of the Headies Awards that was won by Reekado Banks.
Ayo Animashaun divulged this in a new chat #withChude where he also showed the data to the interview anchor.
The HIPTV founder said he had also showed Olamide how Reekado Banks won the award months after the award show that left the rapper agitated.
He said, “Months (after the Olamide/Don Jazzy blowout), when Olamide came to my office, I showed him the log – I have the log on my phone – even he didn’t vote!” he said.
“So some categories, it’s okay to look at it and say ‘Na him get am, Na him get am’ but it doesn’t work like that. So if you say ‘abeg don’t mind the headies’ of course don’t mind the headies but did you vote?!
“A lot of people use mouth to vote. For voting categories, you don’t vote for them, they don’t win. Simple!”
WithinNigeria recall Olamide faulted the award organisers and put up a fight at the event hall when his former artiste, Lil Kesh, lost the award to ex-Mavin Records singer, Reekado Banks.
Olamide ranted at the award ceremony that Lil Kesh was cheated because he felt he deserved to have won the award.
In retaliation, Mavin Records CEO Don Jazzy jokingly asked the YBNL boss to come collect the car prize attached to winning the ‘Next Rated Act’ plaque.
