Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson and Nigerian reality star Uriel Oputa have disagreed on the effectiveness of waist trainer in their latest social media posts.
The debate started when Yvonne Nelson advised her followers on micro-blogging and social media website, Twitter, to stop using waist trainer because it doesn’t work.
The attractive actress added that influencers and companies advertising waist trainers are only fooling them. She then advised that only physical exercise can give a perfect body if it didn’t come naturally through one’s mother or enhanced by a doctor.
“Before we go to church, lemme say this…baby gyal,no slimming tea / waist trainer is gonna give you no TAPOLI / snatched body, stop letting these companies / influencers fool you. Two people, a doctor or your mum and one place, the gym can give you that body,” Yvonne wrote.
Following Yvonne’s post on twitter, fans of former Big Brother Naija participant, Uriel, tagged her to the post. Uriel, known for advertising waist trainer on her social media pages, was forced to react, disclosing she felt attacked by the enormous number of tags she got on that post.
Uriel countered Yvonne’s opinion about waist trainer. She stressed that waist trainer has been around for a long time and it has proven effective because it helps to structure the body.
She wrote; “Stop Tagging me on the recent blog post. I’m Drama free so this is coming from a place of Honesty. If you have worked with me, you know I wouldn’t touch your product unless I’ve used it!!! Credibility is worth more than money to me!!! WAIST training doesn’t work?
