Confusion is mounting in the Big Brother Naija House over the identity of the two wild cards.
As you may know, the wild cards are two fake housemates in the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ House, which are Maria and Pere.
Big Brother had explained that the qualification of the two wild cards into the house did not follow the usual procedure and that the task of the 22 housemates is to fish out who the two wild cards are.
On the second day of the 6th season premiere of BBNaija, Show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu had revealed that Big Brother would unveil the wild cards to viewers on Thursday, July 29th.
Biggie, as Big Brother is affectionately called, kept to his promise earlier in the day when he asked the two wild cards separately how they were playing their games in concealing their identities.
Maria, 29, a former air hostess, said she was uncomfortable especially as she had to lie a lot just to continue staying undercover.
“It’s really killing me,” she told Biggie during the Diary Session. “I’m not proud of it – I’m constantly lying. And I think they are going to
The second wild card Pere echoed the same sentiments: “I have played it to the best of my ability,” said the former US soldier and trained nurse.
Interestingly, while the other housemates all had conflicting opinions and wrong suggestions as regards who the wild cards are, both Maria and Pere correctly guessed each other to be the wild cards. But Biggie refused to confirm their calculations.
Biggie, however, did give some clues to other housemates during their interview at the Diary Session.
He first revealed to Emmanuel, 24, that the wild cards would be called into the diary room one after the other.
Biggie also disclosed the same piece of information to the Head of House, Peace, while he told Jay Paul that the wild cards know themselves.
After the diary session, the 22 housemates assembled in the House in an attempt to figure out who the wildcards are – knowing that if they guess correctly, these wildcards will be evicted.
But if they fail, the wildcards will not be evicted on Sunday but will have exclusive power to nominate on Monday.
With the clues that Biggie gave some of them, the 22 housemates correctly arranged themselves in the order they were called into the diary room.
For the past few hours, the housemates have been brainstorming to decide upon who the wildcards are in the Big Brother Naija House.
Meanwhile, Maria and Pere who definitely are suspecting each other to be the other wild card – although Biggie did not confirm their hypothesis – are playing their cards really well by buttoning up any type of body language which could open their ‘nyash’.
On the other hand, a good number of the housemates are falsely pointing their fingers at Beatrice, to be one of the wild cards, and wondering who the second is – between Emmanuel and Yerins.
They have wrongly listed tons of arguments to support their claims, while the real wild cards are busy ramping up their deceptive games.
As the game unfolds, time will reveal whether the housemates will pin down the two wild cards, Maria and Pere, who are in no way going to tip the wink to their fellow contestants, as the race to win the 90 million naira grand prize goes on.
