Nigerian Afropop recording artist and performer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, known by his stage name Iyanya has been appointed the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment to the Cross River state governor, Professor Benedict Ayade.
The appointment was announced on Wednesday, September 1.
The 34-year-old rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa and is best known for his hit single “Kukere”.
Iyanya has joined the long list of celebrities who have received political appointment from their state governors.
He co-founded the record label Made Men Music Group with Ubi Franklin in 2011.
Recall that Ubi Franklin is also a Special Adviser on Tourism to Professor Benedict Ayade, Governor of Cross River State.
