Controversy
The Nollywood actor had been accused of dating fellow actor, Uti Nwachukwu, an allegation they have both denied at several times.
Ekubo, in his New Year message, wrote, “Learn to live and let live. If a person wants to be gay, let them be gay in peace. Personally, I’m not, have never been and will never be.
“Let’s allow people to be free and comfortable with their sexual preference. Stop the name calling and shaming.”
Alexx Ekubo sparked controversy when he kissed legendary 2Face Idibia’s wife, Annie in a movie role. The actor said it was a difficult thing for him to do in an instagram post that read; “Kissing @annieidibia1 was the second hardest part of filming @powerof1movie, the first been asking @official2baba how he felt about it.”
Personal Life
On May 3, 2021 Alexx proposed to his longtime girlfriend his American model girlfriend, Fancy Acholonu in the United States of America.
The Nollywood actor and his fiancee went further to announce the date for their wedding. The date was posted on Alexx’s Instagram page, with a flier of the couple, and a description saying the traditional wedding will take place on November 20, 2021, in Imo state, and the white wedding is scheduled to take place in Lagos state on November 27, 2021.
Sharing the flier, he wrote:
Let the Countdown begin.

#FalexxForever
@falexxforever for updates.
However, their plans were called off breaking lots of hearts with both love birds unfollowing each other on Instagram and also deleting their joint IG page which was set up for the said purpose to keep fans updated.
No reason has been given so far for the split as at the time of this writing.
