Veteran musician Blackface has lamented about the poor treatments he is getting from the Nigerian mass media and event organisers.
The expert dancehall/reggae singer said the media rubbished his brand while event organisers have refused to recognise his presence in the music industry.
Blackface also disclosed in a chat with Chide Jideonwo that he is not bothered with the terrible treatments because he is in the industry to make music for his fans, not for the money.
“The media has succeeded in bringing the brand Blackface Naija to ground zero,” he stated.
“No Nigerian or any award has given me one award. I’m the one they don’t want to talk about but it’s all good.”
“I came into the music industry to make music for the fans. I did not come to the industry because I wanted to get rich.”
“But as far as the people embrace the music, then who cares?”
“I don’t worry about the media. I just make music for them. I talk about it; creepy agents everywhere. They are all creepy agents and I make music with them.”
