Controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo is requesting for at least N50 million from Mr Babs Ogunade, the Vice President of the Nigerian Basketball Federation, who impregnated her in 1986 when she was 22 years old.
Kemi Olunloyo, in the latest episode of her #KemiTalksLife vlog on YouTube, she divulged she was not given any child support in the 18 years that she raised her son, Enitan.
She added she didn’t know where the Basketball executive was; she had to raise Enitan alone, until he was 25 years, although her son would be 35 years old in February next year.
She reconfirmed she met Ogunade in London and got pregnant for him after a month to counter his claim that she was a one-night stand who might had been pregnant by another boyfriend in America where she was living.
Kemi said Ogunade rejected the pregnancy, but she nurtured her son, Enitan, alone. She recounted the ordeals she faced raising the child, how she begged from hand to mouth to feed him and combined schooling with motherhood without good welfare. “I suffered,” she revealed.
Kemi explained she approached the court in the US, which ordered $467 per month to her as child support from the father of her son, but she discarded it. She disclosed that the court has the record of the child support awarded to her despite her not pursuing it.
Doing the calculation, she said the $467 a month for 18 years has accrued to $102,700, which is now what Ogunade is owing her. Kemi added that the $102,700 was equivalent to N50 million as of September 18, 2021.
