Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has reacted to speculation that she mocked her colleague Iyabo Ojo after debunking beef with Funke Akindele.
We earlier reported that Toyin Abraham debunked having any issue with Funke Akindele stating that the mother of two is among the people she respects in the Nollywood industry.
Toyin Abraham added Funke Akindele is her senior colleague, and she respects her so much. Still, many people always mistake family, friends and colleagues as she cannot be friends with everyone.
The statement generated reactions from netizens who mocked and slammed Iyabo Ojo for picking a fight with Funke Akindele on behalf of Toyin Abraham.
Reacting to this, Toyin Abraham, in a post shared on her Instagram page, said the video interview making the rounds on social media was done prior ‘The Ghost and the Tout’ was released in cinemas.
According to Toyin Abraham, she reacted to the question in order to address the narratives going on social media as some things are better left unsaid, and her stand remains the same.
Toyin Abraham added she was reacting to the beef with Funke Akindele and not throwing Iyabo Ojo under the bus.
She wrote:
“I just saw an interview I did a few weeks ago with twist and bends to suit narrative of reaction. Some things are better left unsaid.
That was my stand then, and now. So, for avoidance of doubt, the said interview was done before The Ghost and The Tout Too hit the cinema. I am not reacting to anything or throwing anyone under the bus. We look forward, not backward. We move. Thank you guys”
